Office Coordinator on Cape Ann / North Shore

Position Overview
Reporting to the Executive Director, the full-time Office Coordinator for Temple Ahavat Achim (TAA) will perform a variety of administrative duties for our Temple. This person must possess excellent communication and relationship skills and be detail oriented, tech savvy, and a natural self-starter. The ideal candidate will be open to learning about Jewish religion, culture, and identity.
Responsibilities
Office tasks
- Provide first point-of-contact for all congregant visits, incoming telephone calls, and emails.
- Perform general office tasks including mailing, copying, file/archive maintenance, maintaining office supplies, receiving deliveries, and creating documents.
- Manage and update congregational database.
- Provide event planning support including scheduling, registering participants, and assisting in facility set-up.
- Provide administrative assistance to the TAA leadership.
Communication Tasks
- Prepare weekly email newsletters and updates to the website.
- Prepare event flyers and advertisements.
- Prepare communication for donation acknowledgements and upcoming yahrzeits.
Requirements
- College degree or equivalent experience.
- Excellent computer skills using Google Office Suite/Microsoft Office, email marketing applications, and Canva.
- Ability to learn new software programs with confidence and enthusiasm.
- Self-motivated with ability to multi-task and work independently.
- Excellent organizational, time management, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to communicate in a positive, enthusiastic, and professional manner with a diverse group of members, visitors & vendors.
- Flexibility to take on new tasks whenever needed.
Compensation and Benefits
- Salary: $35,000 - $45,000 per year
- 38-hour work week, Monday to Friday
- Paid time for some Jewish Holidays
- 6 paid Federal Holidays
